Alchemy

Alchemy is a crafting skill that allows players to create various potions with magical effects. From healing wounds to granting fire fields, alchemists are essential supporters in any adventure.

• Stat Gains: 20% DEX, 20% INT
• Skill Gain Modifier: 0.3x (harder to gain than most skills)

• Duration Bonus: +6 seconds per 10 skill points for buff potions
• Effectiveness Bonus: +1 effect point per 10 skill points
• 80+ Alchemy: Can drink potions with occupied hands
• Explosion Damage: Up to +5 damage bonus on explosion potions

At high skill levels, alchemists can unlock powerful perks:

• Flask Blessing: 6% chance per level to not consume potions when drinking
• Fire Starter: +1 damage per level with inflammable oil
• Volatile Reactions: +10% explosion potion damage per level

Note: Cannot be used when poisoned, under mortal strike, or at full health.

Note: Buff potions cannot stack with similar effects.

Explosion Mechanics:

• 4-second countdown after throwing
• 2-tile explosion radius
• 5-second cooldown between uses
• Damage capped at 40 vs players
• Can ignite oil puddles

• Where to get: NPC Alchemists, Provisioners, or crafted by Tinkers

• Capacity: 100 potions of the same type
• Auto-fill: Potions automatically go into kegs when crafting
• How to use: Double-click keg with empty bottle to fill

0-25: Nightsight Potions

• Very low skill requirement (-25 minimum)
• Only requires 1 Spider's Silk per potion
• Cheap and easy to mass produce

25-50: Refresh & Lesser Potions

• Refresh Potion (5-30 skill)
• Total Refresh (25-50 skill)
• Lesser Heal (20-40 skill)
• Lesser Cure (25-50 skill)

50-70: Standard Potions

• Regular Heal (35-60 skill)
• Regular Cure (45-70 skill)
• Agility (40-65 skill)
• Strength (40-65 skill)
• Regular Poison (50-75 skill)

70-90: Greater Potions

• Greater Heal (55-80 skill)
• Greater Cure (65-90 skill)
• Greater Agility (60-85 skill)
• Greater Strength (60-85 skill)
• Greater Poison (70-95 skill)

90-100: Advanced Potions

• Deadly Poison (90-115 skill)
• Continue with high-level potions

100+: Master Recipes

• Lethal Poison (100-125 skill) - Requires recipe
• Special dyes and advanced items

1. Use Potion Kegs: Auto-fill feature saves time and bottles
2. Buy in Bulk: Stock up on reagents from NPC vendors
3. Town Bonuses: Train in towns with skill gain bonuses
4. Skill Gain Items: Wear items with skill gain bonuses
5. Optimal Skill Range: Craft items 20-30 points above your skill for best gains
6. Sell Products: Many potions are valuable to other players

Some advanced items require recipe scrolls that must be learned before crafting:

Learning Recipes:

• Double-click recipe scroll to learn permanently
• Must have sufficient skill to learn
• Once learned, can craft unlimited times
• Recipe storage module available for organization

Prerequisites:

• 90.0+ Alchemy skill required
• 10,000 gold cost to learn mastery
• Maximum 2 active masteries at once

Mastery Levels: 1-21 levels

• Levels 2-7: Require Mastery Gems (2-7 gems)
• Levels 8-14: Require 7 Mastery Gems + Mastery Prisms (1-7 prisms)
• Levels 15-21: Require 7 Mastery Prisms + Legacy Souls (1-7 souls)

Base Mastery Bonuses (All Levels):

• Armor rating increase
• +2% resist bonus per level
• +1% melee damage per level
• +1% spell damage per level

Alchemy-Specific Perks:

Volatile Reactions (Max Level 8)

• +10% explosion potion damage per level
• Applies to PvM combat only

Flask Blessing (Max Level 8)

• 6% chance per level to preserve potions when consumed
• Works on all consumable potions

Fire Starter (Template Bonus, Max Level 8)

• +1 flat damage per level to inflammable oil
• Applies to PvM combat only

Nuke Proc (Max Level 8)

• 2% chance per level to trigger on explosion potions
• +100 absolute damage + 500% damage multiplier
• Devastating effect for high-level alchemists

Clarity Potion (Power Faction Only)

• Restores 3d3+3 Intelligence points
• Duration: 5-30 minutes
• Removes concussion debuffs
• Special faction hue (1154)
• Requires faction membership

• Explosion Potions: Area damage, oil ignition, Nuke proc potential
• Confusion Blast: Disorient enemies
• Healing: Quick HP recovery in combat
• Poison: Apply damage over time
• Cure: Counter enemy poisons
• Flask Blessing: Preserve valuable potions in combat
