Skill Mastery: Parrying


Base Perks


Unbreakability

When a shield is being worn, there is a chance that potential damage to the shield and armor will not be taken into account.

  • Chance: 7,5% per level


Physical Retaliation

Melee damage taken within the last 15 minutes will be counted.
Based on that counter, a “charge level” on the shield will be implied:

The current total damage as well as the charge level will be shown in the shield's tooltips.
Your progress is bound to your character, not to a specific shield.

The Retaliation perk increases melee damage based on that charge level.
Damage Bonus: 12,5% * level * (charge level / 10)


Shield Casting


80.0 Parrying allows your character to cast spells without dropping the shield.

Template Bonus


Perk: Shield Strike

This perk only make sense in combination with Physical Retaliation.
Use the shield and its charge level to deliver a strike with the shield and cause melee damage.

  • Damage: 25 * level * (charge level / 10)
  • Resets damage counter (what also sets back your charge level to 1)
  • Cooldown: 3 minutes

A shield strike can be triggered by doubleclicking the equipped shield.


Proc: Vengeance

Reflect a portion of all the melee damage you take back to the aggressor for a limited amount of time.

  • Amount: 50% of incoming damage
  • Duration: 30 seconds
