==== Repairing ==== Weapons, armor and other items in the game have limited durability and are considered consumables. This means that as they are used, their durability decreases until they eventually will be destroyed. However, players have the option to repair these valuable items, such as powerful weapons and armor, in order to extend their lifespan. It's important to note that each repair reduces the overall durability of the item. This implies that items cannot be repaired indefinitely and will eventually reach a point where they can no longer be repaired. Tools cannot be repaired. When an item is repaired, it will experience a loss of MaxDurability based on the following criteria: * If the damage is less than 25%, the item will lose 1 point of MaxDurability. * If the damage is less than 50%, the item will lose 2 points of MaxDurability. * If the damage is less than 75%, the item will lose 3 points of MaxDurability. * If the damage is greater than 75%, the item will lose 4 points of MaxDurability. However, the MaxDurability loss is capped based on the skill level of the individual performing the repairs, whether it's a player or an Armorer NPC: * A crafting skill of 100 allows for a maximum loss of 3 points of MaxDurability. * A crafting skill of 110 allows for a maximum loss of 2 points of MaxDurability. * A crafting skill of 120 allows for a maximum loss of 1 point of MaxDurability. There are various ways to repair an item, and this option is not limited to crafters alone but is also available to any other player. \\ \\ === Repair via Crafting Gump === Crafters have a repair button in the crafting menu, allowing them to repair items. The repair function can be used on equipped items or those in the backpack, targeting the specific item for repair. If the item is valid and repairable, it will be repaired. Additionally, targeting oneself opens a repair gump displaying all equipped items for possible repair. Targeting a container, such as a backpack or house, opens a repair gump displaying all repairable items within the container. Valid repair targets are determined based on the crafter's crafting abilities, specifically items they have the skill to craft. \\ \\ === Repair via Armorer === The Armorer NPC provides a paid service that allows all players to repair their items. It doesn't matter if it's a club, katana, sword, leather armor, or plate mail - the Armorer has the ability to repair all types of items. The Armorer charges a fee for his repair services, which is calculated using the following formula: ((damage in percent * crafting cost) / 2) * resource cost. The resource costs for repairs are as follows: * 4gp per cloth * 10gp per iron ingot/regular leather/regular board * 20gp per shadow ingot/leather/board * 40gp per copper ingot/leather/board * 80gp per bronze ingot/leather/board * 160gp per verite ingot/leather/board * 320gp per valorite ingot/leather/board The loss of maximum durability when using the Armorer's services is calculated in the same way as repairs done through crafting menus. It's important to note that the Armorer has 100 skill level in all crafting skills.
